White Sands

One of the greatest things we did on our trip, included going to White Sands New Mexico!! My parents grew up going there as kids and even took me when I was little, (but I don't remember it!) I wasn't prepared for how much BEAUTIFUL white sand I would see, until we got there. It seemed like the white hills went on forever!! It is a National Park, where people make a day out of it. You can take hikes or just play in the sand. It was a little too hot the day we went, so we only stayed a little while. But, the boys absolutely LOVED it!! I was surprised at how brave and fearless Logan was. He would climb the hills and slide on his orange "sled" all by himself. He even crashed and toppled a few times, but that didn't stop him from going again!! We are looking forward to go back with the whole family over Thanksgiving. It will be much cooler by then and maybe we can even get a Christmas card shot out there!! Aren't the pictures great in that white sand??!!
