Big Red Engine

On Wednesday Nana set up a little field trip for the boys at the Garland Fire Station. Her really good friend David is a Fire Chief in Garland, which made the experience even better! He and another firefighter gave the boys the "star" treatment while we were there. They showed us all around the fire station, took us for a ride in a fire truck, turned the lights and sirens on, gave us a tour of the ambulance, dressed the boys up in fire gear, taught us about the equipment and even made "chicken" balloons out of plastic gloves! Nana and I learned a lot and the boys had a BLAST!! I actually liked taking the ride in the firetruck and watching the other cars pull out of the way when the sirens came on (such power!!) The boys thought it was the coolest thing ever to be that close to firetruck as well! Logan has been talking about it for days and I know it is a memory he will never forget! Thank you Nana for arranging such a fun outing for the boys! And, thank you to David and Matt for taking time out of your day to make this trip SO exciting and memorable for my boys!!
