Easter Bunny Picnic

This morning we went out to Aubrey to a beautiful ranch with some friends from church. The ranch is called Rancho De La Roco and they hold different events thorough out the year. The event we went to today is called Easter Bunny Picnic. Not only do the kids get to have lunch with the Easter bunny, but they get to hear the Easter Story. When we got there, they took us on a hayride to Mt. Calvary where a lady is dressed like Mary and tells the Easter story to the kids. They had 3 crosses and a donkey up on Mt. Calvary. Logan was a little young to understand and got very upset when the man stopped the tractor. And, when Mary was telling the story of Jesus, Logan started singing Old MC Donald. It was so funny, yet very innocent. Maybe next year he will really start to understand the real meaning of Easter, but this year he was just having some fun on a farm. :) After Mary told her story, the tractor took us to a picnic area where the Easter bunny was waiting for us. Logan jumped out of the trailer so fast and started running down the hill with his arms wide open to hug the bunny. It was so precious, I wished I would have captured it with my camera. It was such a nice day to eat outside and the kids got to run around and play games too. As you can see above Logan was trying to participate in the sack race. He thinks he is so big! :) He also wanted to drive the tractor so bad and kept telling the man "my pa pa's tractor." Finally at the end a man let him "drive" one of their farm vehicles, which made him feel much better. :) Fun times!!
