The night before we flew home from Thanksgiving, a BIG snow storm blew into Cloudcroft! I was so excited to wake up on Sunday morning to a blanket of snow. The boys were happy too because they have never gotten to play in snow that thick before. Logan had so much fun running around, throwing snowballs and making angels in the snow. Spencer thought it was ok, until his glove came off and his hand got wet. He threw such a fit, that he was done for the day. I guess he is a little wimpy Texas boy, who isn't used to cold like that (me too, i hate COLD!!) I am a lot like him in the fact that I like to be inside watching the snow, rather than being in it. :) But, I was thrilled we got to see the mountains covered in white before we left, it truly was BEAUTIFUL. And, I was glad we were able to make it down the mountain and to the airport before the next snow storm blew in. My parents were stuck in their cabin for days after that. The funny part was that it actually snowed here on Wednesday, before we left for school. Logan didn't understand why the snow already melted by the time he came out for the afternoon and was bummed he didn't get to play in it. Of course, I had to tell him the difference between snow in the mountains vs. snow in Dallas (it is quite different and I now understand what you Northern people are talking about!!) :)

Thank goodness for the dryer - clothes and shoes for the plane were soaking wet! What fun we had in the Snow - and how similar to the Sand! Both white and stick to you!! Can hardly wait to go back.
