White Sands Part 2 :)

In August the boys and I visited White Sands, NM for the very first time and had a blast. Well, over Thanksgiving Stephen and my brother's family were in town, so my parents took us back for some more fun! It was super hot the last time we went and it was actually pretty cold this time around. I liked the cooler weather, except for we couldn't go barefoot this time, (it is nice to feel the super soft sand between your toes!) Also, the more clothes you have on, the more you have to shake off before you get back in the car! :) But, the kids/adults had so much fun climbing and sliding down the hills, (more sliding than climbing for the grown ups.... you don't realize how out of shape you are until you get to the top!!) My mom and I had to sit this trip out because of her hip and my pregnancy. She had fun sitting and watching from the back of the Suburban and I had fun snapping pictures of the family! The kids could have stayed and played in the sand all day, but the grown-ups were "SPENT," after an hour. Plus, we were ready for my parents to take the grand kids home, so we could do a little gambling in Ruidoso before heading home! ;0) (thanks mom and dad!!) Good times!
