On Friday Logan celebrated his birthday at school with all of his classmates. Logan goes to a Montessori school, so instead of a traditional party, they have a Celebration of Life. It really is one of the sweetest things I have ever seen. The week of Logan's celebration, his teacher sent a bag home for me to prepare for his special day. I filled out a paper with all of Logan's milestones and accomplishments over the last three years. It was basically a story about Logan's little life, that I would read at the party. Then, she had three frames for me to put pictures of Logan inside. I picked one from his birth, one when he was a year and then another when he was two. I didn't want to miss out on this special moment, so I asked his teacher to schedule it around my lunch time, so I was able to make it. My parents and my three year old niece were also able to attend Logan's Celebration of Life. When we got there, the room was very dark and there was a big candle lit in the middle and tea light candles around it. The big candle represented the sun and the little candles represented Logan's life. The teacher talked about how it takes a year for the earth to go around the sun and how each year we get older. Logan walked around the "sun" three times, to represent his life. Then, he got to show his friends his pictures, while I read his sweet story. I was holding back tears the entire time, because it reminded me of how fast time has flown by. I still can't believe Logan is three and is not a baby anymore. He is not even a toddler anymore, he is now classified as a preschooler! At the end of the celebration, Logan got to pass out chocolate donuts and then I donated a book to his class for his birthday, that I got to read to them that day. Logan was so excited and couldn't stop smiling!! He was THRILLED that he had finally turned three! Logan's actual birthday wasn't until the next day, but after such a big celebration, there was no convincing him otherwise! :) It was such a PRECIOUS day and I was so glad I was able to attend!! I still can't believe my baby is 3!!!!

OH my goodness...I am in tears! How sweet and precious! What a wonderful idea his preschool had! I think I should be a preschool teacher instead...so I can take care of precious little ones just like Logan! I miss him and Spencer so much and I hope I can see them soon! Love you

What a wonderful idea of the Celebration of Life and what a fantastic visual to explain the passing of each year and how old they are. I know you had a grand day there and Tish was trilled to be there also. Cute picture of Lauren also. She has grown up so much. See you soon, Love, CD
