Special Birthday

Let me start off by saying, I have the sweetest husband ever!! Last Thursday, was my actual birthday, but I didn't plan on us doing anything that day. Stephen actually took the day off, to take care of some things around the house. Spencer already had a scheduled appointment in Dallas at Cranial Tech that afternoon. I was just happy that Stephen was off, so he could go with me. So, we picked both of the boys up and went to the appointment at 4:30. Since we were already in Dallas, we stopped at Snuffer's for a GREAT birthday dinner of cheese fries and burgers! I seriously wasn't expecting much more because Stephen already had birthday plans for me over the weekend. Well, when we walked in from dinner that night, I immediately smelled something delicious coming from the kitchen. And, when I turned the corner, I saw the precious birthday display that Stephen had set up for me! Logan was so cute too, he kept saying "it's mommy's birthday party!" Stephen had made a cookie cake and one of my favorite drinks, (Sangria with fruit! YUM!!) He also picked out a bath set from Bath and Body that was from the boys, (it was an inside joke because Logan asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told him bath stuff! It was so sweet because he actually told his daddy that I wanted it!) I also got two sweet cards from my boys with some shopping money inside! I was so surprised and blown away by his thoughtfulness!! Then on Friday, we headed to Frisco to take the boys to Papa Don and Grammy's house. We celebrated my birthday with some friends at Bob's Steakhouse and spent the night at the Westin Stonebriar! It was so nice to be able to spend so much QT with my hubby and some wonderful friends! Then on Saturday we picked the boys up from the grandparents and spent the day in Frisco. We went to Wiggly Play Center, took a nice nap in the hotel and then went back out for a yummy dinner at Cheesecake Factory and carousel rides at the mall. We ended up spending the night at the Westin another night because Logan wanted to stay in a hotel. Logan did great and enjoyed every minute of it, but Spencer wasn't the best! He fussed on and off ALL night long and we didn't get ANY sleep! I think it was hard on him being out of his routine and in the same room with us. But, it didn't matter because we had such a fantastic weekend otherwise! Thank you Stephen for making my 30th so memorable!! I love you!!

Way to go Stephen! Good job at baking! At least the "all month long" birthday has just turned into a "weekend."
Glad the family had a good time.
Love you Mom

I love the way Spencer is eyeing that cookie. That's grandpa's hungry boy!

Sounds like you had a great time and even the boys got to enjoy your birthday with you. I know Logan was so excited it was your birthday and getting to stay in a hotel was fun for him. Glad you had a good 30th. Love, CD
