Bath time has always been a favorite at our house. I love buying the boys bath toys and have even tried some of the Crayola bath products. Let's just say the Crayola bath crayons and paint aren't my favorite. I don't enjoy scrubbing colorful wax off of the tub after bathing a toddler. Well, I saw a blog the other day where a mom used these Crayola Color Dotz in her sons bath. It is basically bath tablets that change the water a different color, without any mess. I thought it was a neat idea, but didn't know where I could buy them. Well, I was in Wal-Mart on Sunday and saw them near the kids bubble baths. I was so thrilled, so I picked some up for Logan. He had the stomach bug this past weekend, so this really made his day. I told him we were going to have a color bath that night and he could pick the color. I also told him he could only put in bath toys that matched the color of the water. He thought this was the coolest thing ever and couldn't wait to pick his color for the next night. We have had green, yellow, red and blue night so far and I think he wants orange to be tomorrow nights color! :) Also, the tablets only come in the primary colors, so you have to mix them to make purple, orange and green. He loves throwing the tablets into the water and watching it change before his eyes! This has been perfect because Logan is learning his color songs in school right now and he likes to sing them with his color baths. I teach these songs to my Kindergartners, so I am able to help reinforce the songs. He thinks it is fun that I know them too! :) Anyway, tonight was red night and I had the chance to capture him singing the song in the bath tub. This is a big deal because he doesn't always like to perform on the spot. It seems that he gets shy or annoyed with me when I pull the camera out and ask him to do something, but tonight he was more than willing. It was very cute! :)
