Last night we had a last minute dinner date with some of our good friends. They called us yesterday mid-afternoon to see if we wanted to join them at Sullivan's Steakhouse in Dallas. Well, of course we wanted to go, but didn't know if we could find a babysitter at the last second. Well, Stephen called his dad and they weren't doing anything, so they were happy to watch the boys. They live in Frisco, so we just dropped them off and headed down the Tollway to dinner. The reservations weren't until 8:00, so we knew it was going to be a late night. Sullivan's is running a really great summer special that is for 2. It is $69 a couple and you get to pick a salad, entree, two sides and then you have to share a dessert. Stephen of course ordered a Filet, but my dinner consisted of a wedge blue cheese salad, crab stuffed shrimp w/ asparagus and garlic potatoes and chocolate mousse for dessert. It was such a scrumptious meal! We didn't get done with dinner until around 10:30 and got to Papa Don's house to pick up the boys at 11:00. We felt bad because we didn't know it was going to be that late, but they didn't seem to mind. Logan was still up and didn't go to sleep until we got home. I think his head hit the pillow about 11:45 last night. And, he was up at 7:45 this morning, but I could tell he was exhausted. I just put him down for a nap a bit ago and he went straight to sleep. Spencer of course slept all evening long at Papa Don and Grammy's, all the way home in the car and then went straight to sleep when we got to the house. He was wide eyed and bushy tailed at 6:30 this morning. I was dying because I didn't fall asleep until around 1:15. Oh, well I wouldn't have traded the evening for anything. We never do things like that and especially not last minute. It seems like everything in our world is scheduled these days. And, I didn't mention that a few days ago our friends had their 13th wedding anniversary, so we were celebrating that with them as well. Happy Anniversary Kristi and Kelby, we love you guys so much!! It was a great time! :)
(Oh, don't mind my hair, it looks awful! We were in the most ridiculous amount of rain trying to get to dinner last night!) :)
