Surprise!

This past weekend, we had a wonderful mini-vacation with some friends at the Horseshoe Bay Resort. Horseshoe Bay is located in the Hill Country near Marble Falls. It is such a beautiful part of Texas and I love it because it is close to where I grew up. Kat planned the whole trip for Brad's 30th birthday and invited us along. And, we are so glad she did!! It was so nice to just relax and hang out with our good friends. I feel like I was so pampered all weekend long. We got to hang out by some fabulous pools, sleep late, order room service, go to the Spa and eat at wonderful restaurants! The boys even got to play golf at an awesome course. They both said it was one of the top courses that they have ever played. And, the best part of the weekend was being there when Brad proposed to Kat. Brad is Stephen's best friend and Stephen knew he was going to propose. I didn't know it was going to happen, so both Kat and I were surprised when it happened. You can read her blog, if you want more details on their proposal. Anyway, we are so excited for them!! I have been waiting for Brad to find a good girl and was thrilled when he finally did. Kat and I get along like we have known each other forever!! I look forward to spending a lot more time with the two of them in the future. Horseshoe Bay is definitely not our last adventure together!! :) Thanks Kat & Brad for a great trip. We are so happy for the two of you and can't wait until the wedding!! :)
