I took Logan to the doctor about a week ago because he sounded really congested. He wasn't running fever at the time, but his oxygen levels were around 93% which means he wasn't getting enough oxygen in his blood. The doctor put him back on breathing treatments four times a day with an added
steroid medicine to help with the inflammation in his lungs. If anyone has every had to do breathing treatments on a child, they know what a beating they can be. They take around 20 minutes to do each session, which is almost an hour and half of our day. Thank goodness Logan has been AMAZING at putting up with them and enjoys watching his
Choo Choo Train video, Blue's Clues or Elmo, while holding his
nebulizer. We still have until the 28
th of January to complete the
steroid treatments. YIKES!!! Anyway, I thought he was getting better, but on Thursday his babysitter called me to let me know he was running around a 103 fever. The picture above was what he looked like when I brought him home. It made me so sad to see him that sick and helpless. The doctor was closed that evening and we didn't know how bad he really was, since I had just been a few days prior. But, as the weekend progressed we decided we probably should take him in and not wait any longer because he still was running a fever and not acting like himself. He has been barely eating and
extremely clingy. So, we decided to take him to Acute Kid's Urgent Care today, (which by the way is where you need to take your kids when your doctor is closed.) They were so good with Logan and it is an actual pediatrician that sees the kiddos. Way better than going to an adult urgent care facility! Anyway, his lungs seemed to be fine when we got there, but he was running 101 temp still. After looking over him, she found that his right ear was infected. Logan hasn't had an ear infection since March when we put his tubes in. His tubes are still in, but are on there last leg. Around 30% of kids have to have them put back in and I pray that Logan doesn't fall into that
category. I guess we will have to watch and see how this
antibiotic works and how often they come back after they completely fall out. They sure have been a
life savor during the cold and allergy seasons. We have a round of antibiotics in him now and hopefully tomorrow he will be back to his sweet self and ready for Mrs. Mary Beth's house. Mommy sure can't miss anymore days!! Thanks daddy for staying with Logan on Friday and taking such good care of him!! :)
Please pray for a fast recovery and healing for a little guy!! :)

We have been thinking of you and praying for your recovery. I hate it when you're sick - you're such a happy boy that it doesn't take much for us to know something is wrong. I hope today is a better day for you. Love you -
Grandma and Grandpa
It's no fun when Matt is sick either! Hopefully, by now Logan is feeling much better.
PS. Wish you lived closer so Logan could show Matt how to actually bounce in the bounce house!
Love you!
