NICU Round-Up

Today we had the opportunity to go to the hospital where Logan was born for a special reunion. It was for families that have had babies born in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Medical Center of Lewisville. It was a neat time to share stories about our premature babies and their successful recoveries in the NICU. The reunion was a Western theme and all the babies/toddlers where dressed in their boots, hats and bandannas. :) They looked so cute! Logan had a good time playing with the kids and eating watermelon. He also loved carrying around the duck and pig balloons. I was very surprised at how well he did around all the people. I think he felt comfortable because there were so many kids and he loves playing with kids! :)

Also, I posted some pictures of Logan from his stay in the NICU and then some from the reunion. The nurses and doctors in the NICU are amazing people and have one of the most important jobs in the world. I remember when Logan was in the NICU, there were a set of triplets who were 1 lb and thriving to live. Also, at the reunion I saw 10 month old beautiful baby girls who were 1 and 2 lbs each at birth who were doing amazing today. This shows that without these wonderful nurses and doctors, our babies wouldn't make it. Logan was 7 lbs when he was born, but his lungs were very premature. I was reading Logan's discharge summary last night and it said that he went into the NICU in serious condition, but was released 8 days later doing remarkably better. I thank God everyday for healing Logan and sending such wonderful people to nurse him to health. :)

Paaa Pa and Logan were buds from the beginning in the NICU.
