Around 6:30 tonight I called my mom to remind her of what happened last year about this time. I had just finished my 34
th week and I was not thinking this was the night I would go to the hospital to have my baby boy. Stephen had left for the gym and I was making dinner when my water broke. I didn't know it was my water at the time and the the doctors weren't totally convinced I should come in either. They kept telling me that I probably was urinating myself. I was no expert, but I had a funny feeling that they were wrong. When Stephen finally made it home that evening, we made the decision that we better go to the hospital just
in case. It took us awhile to leave for the hospital because I wasn't even prepared to go. I had nothing on the list of things I should bring with me when delivering. We were laughing as we TRIED to pack for the hospital, but I seemed to have nothing on the list. I hadn't even thought about going to buy a nursing bra yet. I just kept thinking I had plenty of time!! I was CLUELESS!
Long story short, I was in labor and my water did in fact break at home. I stayed at the hospital over night waiting and waiting to deliver. I was so anxious to meet my baby boy! Having our families there made the experience that much better. It
definitely will be a time that I will never forget! :)

Me Either! I was so antsy to go that I packed my bag too - but daddy wouldn't budge. Stephen had to call at 11:00 pm and I told him I was OUTTA here. He reluctantly got out of bed. Daddy reminds me all the time that we COULD HAVE WAITED!! Happy Birthday to our precious little boy. We love you.

Happy Birthday Logan! On this night last year, I thought your Daddy was trying to trick me when he told me you were coming! I wish you the best first birthday ever! (And.. I think your Mommy has some surprises for you to share with your friends at Ms. Amy's tomorrow!)Love you!
The year has really flown by! Grandpa and I were sitting in a movie theater when we got the first call from Stephen - probably nothing, just letting you know. The next call at 11:00 was letting us know that they were keeping her but don't think anything will happen soon, go on to sleep. Right! Then in a couple of hours, another call saying things were happening, so we were out of here, too. We've all been blessed beyond words by this special boy!
Happy Birthday from Nana and Grandpa
