Sassy Sarah

This past weekend my sweet cousin Sarah came to stay with us. She lives in Austin and is going to be a freshman in high school next year. Sarah's mom really wanted her pictures taken before she entered high school and since she just recently got her braces off too! They knew I had a fabulous photographer up in the Dallas area and wanted her to take some pictures of Sarah while she was here. Well, the morning of the pictures I got a phone call from my photographer saying she had an emergency and needed to cancel. I TOTALLY understood, but hated to have to break the news to Sarah. We had already bought her a new dress, straightened her hair and fixed her make-up. She was all ready to go and was super excited! When I told her about everything she was very understanding, but I could tell she was a little bummed. So, I had to come up with plan B fast!! I asked her if it was ok if we still went out to TWU and I took some pictures of her with my camera. I have a great camera, but I am no expert or professional by any means. I told her I had no clue what I was doing, but we would have fun and I would try my best! And, that is exactly what happened when we got out there. I did have my boys with me and they were pretty good for the most part, (when they were strapped in the wagon!!) We just took LOTS of pictures and we actually got some pretty good shots. The ones above are some of my favorites, even though they aren't edited yet! :) Sarah had a great attitude and spirit though out the whole "session" and even told me I "looked" professional while I took her pictures! So cute!! I told her these will have to do, until she can come up next time and take some "real" ones!! (I love you Sarah, I enjoyed spending so much QT time with you!!)
