Logan is dying to open the presents!! We had to keep reminding him that it wasn't his birthday! (He even tried to go and put on his birthday boy shirt!! Bless his heart!!)

Last Saturday we had the grandparent's (minus my parents,) over to celebrate Spencer's first birthday. My parents really wanted to be there, but they were keeping my nieces in San Antonio, while my brother and his wife were on vacation. They did send balloons and we will be celebrating with them over Easter too. (Thank you for the balloons, they made his day!!) I felt bad because I didn't do a BIG 1st birthday bash, like we did for Logan. But, the small party worked out best for us this year and it ended up being really perfect. (Oh, the poor 2nd child!!) Plus, Spencer had a blast with his Nana, Grandpa V, Papa Don and Grammy! And, he had fun smashing cake on his face and opening his goodies!! Thank you guys for coming out and making his day so special! And, thank you Nana for watching the boys while mommy and daddy went out for the evening. It was a great day!! Happy Birthday Spence!!

What fun Spencer had on his first birthday!! He looked so cute in his birthday hat! Both cakes looked so yummy and I know he loved diving into his very own. Hey,I don't think "Miss Anonymous" did too badly as a 2nd child... do you? And I don't think Spencer will either. Have a Happy Easter-- can't wait to see the Easter Egg Hunt pictures. Love, CD

There's nothing about this post I don't just love...SO precious! I especially love that you put Spencer in the same shirt that Logan wore on his first bday. SO cute! And seriously, the smash cake on the butcher paper is GENIUS! I can't believe he's already a year old!! This last year has FLOWN by! Happy birthday Spence!
