Brothers in Bonnets :)

I have been wanting to get the boys pictures taken in bluebonnets, since I saw them blooming over Spring Break. Life has just been so busy lately, that I haven't had the chance. I was starting to get scared that I was going to miss my opportunity soon, so I was determined to get them done this week. There isn't many great spots that I know close to us, except for one that is in north Denton. My friend lives near this field and told me about it two years ago. I got the most beautiful pictures of Logan when he was a year old, but haven't done it since,(Spencer was a newborn last year during bluebonnet season.) Since I knew it was going to rain this weekend, I had to make it happen today. It was quite an ordeal to get this done today too! First, I had to run home during my lunch break to get my camera. Then I had to have my friend bring Logan home from his school in Flower Mound and meet me at my school. We then had to drive down to Spencer's school and pick him up, (don't worry next year they will be at the same place!) But, the good news was that Spencer's church school is in downtown Denton, not far from the patch! The bad news was that Spencer had a 15 minute nap all day and was not in a picture taking mood. :) I didn't care because I WAS going to make this happen! I was also trying to hurry because I thought it was going to rain. But, we did finally make it to the "blue flowers" as Logan called them. The field wasn't as full of bluebonnets as it has been in years past, but it was still beautiful. It was actually easier to walk and maneuver through this year. When I took Logan two years ago (although it was gorgeous,) we couldn't barely move. Logan had a BLAST running through this gigantic area and even sat still for some shots. Spencer, like I said wasn't real excited about the whole thing, but did let me capture a few cute ones. :) I am just excited I have a couple that I can frame. It was quite hectic getting there, but I it was all worth it in the end! :)
