This past weekend we traveled to my parents house. We were picking up Spencer and spending the weekend with them. On Saturday we had the chance to celebrate my Mema's 85th birthday with her. The day started off at a pumpkin patch close to Moffat, Tx. It is a little town just west of Temple. It is usually a Christmas Tree Farm and Bed and Breakfast, but the past two years they have held a little pumpkin patch. It is the cutest little family that owns the farm. It isn't a real big pumpkin patch like you would see up here in Dallas, but it was just right for Logan. Plus, it wasn't real crowded, so that was perfect too. At the pumpkin patch they had pumpkin painting, food, hayrides, hay mazes, duck races and a bean bag toss. Logan loved all the little games and it was hard for him to have to move on after he had his turn. He thought his 2 tickets at the duck races would last him for the whole day! :) The only thing missing that I like at pumpkin patches, is a petting zoo. But, I know this won't be the last pumpkin patch we will go to this month. Can you tell that I love the Fall?! After the pumpkin patch we took my Mema out to a delicious lunch at BJ's. The boys were in a great mood and did perfect at the restaurant. Logan's favorite part was sharing Mema's chocolate chip cookie cake at the end. He kept telling her "don't eat it all Mema!" He is into the whole sharing thing, when it benefits him! :) I am just so glad I got to spend time with my grandma, since I don't see her that often. She is the spunkiest and most wonderful 85 year old I know. And, it is fun for my kids to get to know their great grandma. It was definitely a fabulous Fall day! :)

Those are great pictures! What fun that must have been for every one. That Spencer is really growing! Your Mema is indeed a keeper. Happy birthday to her. And you know my favorite Mema story.
Gosh, Happy Birthday to Pauline! She is a wonderful looking 85 year old. I have not talked to her in quite a while. Hope she is enjoying living in Temple area. Sounds like you had a wonderful time at the Pumpkin Patch and at BJ's in Temple. Wish I could have seen everyone when you were in town this past weekend.
Love you, CD
